Sick to Death

Well here's the deal, today I was notified that we do not qualify for health care.

Why you ask?

Because my 18 month old daughter has a pre-existing condition called a Pulmonic Stenosis which is a narrowing of the Pulmonary Atery. Her cardiologist has made the determination that she is fine and can be treated as a normal child. We only have to go back for routine follow-ups once a year. Not a big deal, right?

Well according to the insurance companies there is no way that she will ever get approved and if they do approve her chances are they will cancel our policies after a few months.

Oh yes, that has happened to us already.

Last October our insurance company, who I will not name (Aetna), sent us a letter that said they had cancelled our policy in July even though we were paying our premiums. And that great company,(Aetna)only gave me a refund for one months premium payment. WTF!

Bottom line we have no health insurance. Should we have an emergency, we are screwed, yet there really is no one that seems to give a damn.

This is not just about my little family, but about everyone. This could happen to you, and if it does what are you going to do?

How are you going to take care of your health care needs?

We already know that Congressmen and Senators have the best health care that our money can pay for. Yes folks, we are paying for their health care.

Yet they can not seem to do anything that will take care of the people that have voted them into office. If they get sick they go to the doctor, if we get sick, we way the costs of treatment versus buying food for our families.
